Week 4 - Questionaire
10 August
I decided to post-pone the questionaire for the second Semester, just because I wanted to get as many results as I can. If I did it in Semester 1, it would've been rushed and I wouldn't have used it in my proposal anyways, as I feel it informs more the user needs in terms of the design and not the context. If I did it in the break, most people would be in Europe, or sitting on a beach in Rarotonga slurping cocktails (yes I do have proof via Instagram, there were a couple that escaped the Wellingtonian Storm!). Besides I send my questions to my supervisor from last semester, but because I didn't get a reply, I decided to wait a couple of weeks and refined them as I went.
I have been crafting out some questions that might aid me in understanding what I would need to include into my design. It helps me understand the userneed, perception on the topic and possible challenges that I'll face when creating a solution.

I used an anonymous online survey, because I realised that some of my friends are quite open about this topic, but some might not, as death (in particular thinking about ones own death or the death of a close loved one) is a difficult and sensitive topic and I completely understand that as I have experience with this myself. Hence why I want to give people the reassurance that they can be open, without having to identify themselves towards me.
I'll leave the survey up online till the end of Week 6. This will give enough time to get a good amount of responses, and in the break I have the amount of time to decipher the answers and use them strategically in the output.
