Week 2 - VR/AR Meetup
24 July 2017
Today is Monday. And that means for a lot of students to go home as soon as Creative Futures/Exposition/Exhibition class ends and watch Game of Thrones. However, I decided to go to a VR/AR Meetup instead, provided by the VRTX Massey Club. Maybe because I'm dedicated to my project. Maybe because I'm just a geek, who knows.
Going to a VR/AR meetup (which was a first for me) means cool conversations with Victoria and Massey students from different backgrounds and years. I met a guy who did a start-up with VR. I met Bachelor students and a Masters student approaching his PhD. And I met another guy who does experimenting with VR for his living.
I decided to sign up to the club, after they showed their passion for new technology and its possibilities, and they provide workshops that will very possibly help me with my project.
It was also generally great to talk about my idea. People bit into it as if I was a Saleswoman. I had a great Monday evening, so was the Pinot Gris.
With that reflection, I'm off to catch up with GoT!
