Mid Year Break: Website Design/Development Learning

14 July

Lynda.com made a bit difficult to learn recently as everytime I tried to login via Massey, there was a Server error. Good thing the Wellington Central Library has a portal as well, so I could finally end the confusing videos on Youtube and go back to the learning paths that I started.

I am fairly familiar with Web Design and Development, and had a fair chance of practicing those languages through my internship over the summer as a Web Developer. However, I thought it would be a good idea (next to doing VR and Autodesk Maya tutorials, next post!) to do a Learning Path as a Web Developer.

I'm still in the midst of it, but the good thing is that I pretty much mastered HTML and CSS long time ago and for now it is updating myself of any new changes, as both languages are progressing rapidly. The real practice I need from this course is the Javascript Essential training, especially if I'm going to design and create the website output for my project, as the way I'm visualling it in my head, is VERY interactive, hence I can't get away without using Javascript. I might even check into an Animation tutorial if I have time, but for now I'm going to finish this one.
