Week 7 Class (First Whakatinana)

28 April 2017

This morning I saw Karl for advice, as we don't have regular advising sessions today and the feedback I got was very useful. Even better was that one of my peers was there as well, so I met two different perspectives on the topic.

Feedback:
  • What is Design's small role in this?
  • Balance out tensions
  • Think about how people want themselves seen by others
  • situate in context
  • curation of memories as focus
  • family memories & confidentiality

We had a Whakatinana moment, which I shared with another VCD student, a spatial and a photography student. It was nice to see other projects but I didn't find it particularly useful, as the only feedback I got was that I have a interesting topic.

I showed the two journey maps I created and the existing precedents I put together in Mid Semester break (see earlier post).

I went upstairs to the royal blue section as I had the following keywords:

Digital
Future
Life

Other words:
Media
Culture
Individuality
Interaction
Longevity
Personalised

I might be following up with Calvin, as I see him around most days anyways.

Even more I am glad that I went to an advice session this morning to keep me going forwards, and not getting stuck in a whole like before. I found it more helpful than the Whakatinana moment.
